Hi I just got a 2012 ka studio basic model for daughter 1st run about. All OK except drivers wing mirror Manualbadjuster stick is very loose, doesn't move the mirror at all,just wiggles about, passenger side is fine. Is there an easyish fix for this in any way?

Pop the glass out and see if the cables have just come away from the mechanism.  

I suspect you'll probably need a replacement mirror assembly though.  Used ones are available on eBay for around £40.

Make sure to get that special adapter to convert the wing mirror to fit on the door 😂

Just as a bit of trivia. Does anyone know which was the last Ford to be fitted with Wing Mirrors in the UK ?

I don't know the answer but my guess is the 1972 Capri.

Now, I could have sworn my dad's old 1974 Ford Cortina had proper wing mirrors?

That's a 1975 model "N" reg came out 1st August 1975. Your winning so far the best I could find was a 1974 Cortina. 🤣

Late entry just in, a 1976 Capri with two factory fitted Wing mirrors.
