Haldex stuck on RWD

Featured Replies

Hi people,

I have an issue on my Kuga.

The Haldex is stuck in RWD as mechanic says.

The whole Haldex part is insanely expensive to buy.

I joined the forum to check if anyone had similar issue or knows any info to help out.

Any information is welcome.

Thank you in advance

Had this job done about 2 months ago on my daughters 2010 Kuga.

You might find these two sites helpful. I should warn you that the really difficult part is removing the Prop Shaft from the rear.

Thank you.

I ordered OBD 2 ELM 327 which will arrive tommorow.

I will check the error codes. I will tell that to my mechanic. As this is my first car and honestly I have very little knowledge about car repairs. But this will sure be helpfull.

Also what is a funny thing. Dashboard does not show amy warning regarding AWD or any other warning. When you start a car it all seems perfect. Possibly maybe previous owner tampered with senzors

@unofix Hi there. Went to mechanich today. He removed Haldex pump, the oil was released. Very small amount leaked out and it was like black tar. We cleaned the pump and got new oil. Only issue remains that the steering wheel pulls to the right slighy while driving.
