parking aid bleeper location

Featured Replies

Morning all, i have this 2002 mk3 mondeo tdci and i am trying to find the location of the parking aid bleeper,

I found the parking module and thought it would be near that, but no .

Had the c pillar fittings out and the lining up to the roof on both sides down.

Only things i can see are seat belt tensioners, or i think so.

Surely not under the roof lining, i hope not.

any help please.

Rear parking aid sounder inside the roof to the left side of the rear roof light.

Had the Rooflight out Unifix and i can't see anything  on the left or right, only the roof and insulation, had a torch and mirror to it only wires from the rear hatch.

any chance you have a photo of the location Unofix.

It's one of those items that has been in several locations over the life of the model.

Here are two other known locations.

@iantt might be able to advise.

had a good look around, can't see it.

if i could get the colours of the wiring i think i would just wire it up to a new bleeper.

Don't suppose you know the colours do yo, i have a haynes manual, but does not show any wiring for the parking aid wiring.

thanks for your help

Sorry Kevin I don't have any info that goes back before 2010.

Some early parking systems actually used the cars stereo speakers but I don't know if that would be the case for your model.
