Ford Mondeo (estate) Titanium 2012, Diagnotic Reading Advice

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

Im at a bit of a loss with these diagnostic readings that returned from my mondeo.

The car had been running perfectly, until one afternoon when I planned to head out and the engine wouldn't fire up - the dash was reading "Engine Malfunction". We then had a friend come do a diagnostics on the car, and the readings below are what came back.

Does anyone know what to make of it? Having all four injectors fail simultaneously seems unlikely to me? Possibly something else has triggered a failure?

I was literally just getting ready to sell the car, so I hope it isnt anything too costly...

The injectors haven't failed.  They're just worn beyond the ECU's adaption possibilities.  Very common on the 8v 1.6 TDCi engine.  Personally I wouldn't replace them for this fault code alone.

Fuel pressure sensor is far more likely to be causing the non-start.

I'd agree with @TomsFocus here, look at the two sensor faults in the first instance, when done make sure all codes are cleared and then see how you get on.

let us know how you get on too.
