Jumping out of 1st gear.

Featured Replies

Evening all.
Car has literally just started to jump out of first gear when I try to pull away. The gear feels fully engaged, as soon as the clutch starts to bite it pops out and grinds. I have tried pumping the clutch, going from 2nd/1st, 3rd/1st and 5th/1st no difference.
Anyone else had the same issue??

Car is a 70 plate Fiesta ST Line X Edition 155 mHEV.

I’m also having this issue, jumps out of 1st gear or grinds in first a bit. No problems with clutch engagement, or any other gear. Just 1st.

Seen lots of posts with similar symptoms yet no one seems to update with a diagnosis or how it was repaired.

Off to the garage for my car then..

This has started happening to my son’s 67 plate fiesta. Any idea of the cause/fix?
