Featured Replies

Hi everyone new to the forum

Ive recently bought a 2016 fiesta 1.5d done 30k miles.since buying it i noticed when lifting off accelerator any gear can feel like a jerk or engine kick and same when you initial press the accelerstor again any gear can feel a kick just not smooth no noticeable noise.had the car fully serviced and cambelt waterpump done and changed the bottom engine dogbone mount made no diffrence.Would it be the flywheel at fault slight play in it maybe like as if when foot is on or off accelerator its taking up the slack?

Any help its driving me mad ha i even went to test drive the exact same car at a garage and that didnt do it thanks

I get something similar when crawling in slow traffic, accelerate gently and the car you get that kangaroo effect like your still a learner, turns out having the climate control going flat out both fan and air conditioning is the cause. That extra load on the engine seems to be why gently pushing down the accelerator pedal is like you tapping it hard.
