There is definately belt in the old oil. Bearing in mind that was fresh oil a few months ago. There are no big pieces but I think I'm going to have the wetbelt done.

Just how thin is that Muslin? I have never seen one and I have no idea if they come in different filtering sizes.

It is called Jam Muslin from Dunelm. £1.69. I just cut it into 4. But looking back it would have been easier to keep it as one big bit.

You use it in baking to strain the water out of fruit. The material is like cotton and very fine so will pick absolutely everything.  

On the wetbelt pricing issue, had a quote from a reputable indepandant garage here in sunny Coventry @£786 for main wetbelt and oil pump wetbelt on a 69 Ecosport 🤔

That's a good price. It probably doesn't include the waterpump, but that can be changed separately later on if required.
