Ford fesita 2014 titanium x - squeaking when I'm breaking!

Featured Replies

I wanted to ask about this issue, i have a ford feista 14 plate, titanium x. Ive had the car 6 months. It's in brilliant condition only done 30,000 miles. The car squeaks very loudy when i am breaking, when im gently coming to a stop at lights or a junction for example, anywhere from 15 to 10 mph as im gently breaking it starts until the cars completely  stopped. I've had the rear bushes changed due to the bushes cracking. That stopped the noise for ages. It was peaceful again. Then the suspension was making a god awful noise and I had to have the front bushes changed due to that, and then the nosies came back. It's awful and just want it to stop but I don't want the garage just saying I need anything unnecessarily. anyone advise please?

Without any further info, I'd look at the brakes pretty quickly (if you ease off braking, does the noise reduce/stop?)

I don't understand why changing suspension bushes would cause a noise of that type to stop whilst under braking but I don't think we have enough details?

I'm thinking 30,000 this time round

30,000 miles on a 2014 Fiesta...I'd be far more concerned about the wetbelt than the brakes if it's a 1.0 EcoBoost!

It might have been done before purchase, I guess?

I have had creaks/squeaks from worn/dry bushes when the suspension "dives" under firm braking, but it sounds more like discs/pads as already suggested, particularly if they've never been changed.
