Stolen hubcaps replacements

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just found that my hubcaps were stolen on my Ford Fiesta ST 2013 1.25l

I've included pics of how they look now Vs the ones that got stolen. Please can you let me know where I can find replacements like the ones that were stolen?

Also, now this has happened I'd like to add more security to my car, so please suggest anything I can do to stop this or anything else happening to my car in the future.

Thank you!

What's been sprayed on there?

There isn't any security you can get for wheel trims.  At best you can cable tie them on but any decent thief should be carrying a set of snips anyway.

It's water😅

Ok got it, thanks. Just hope it isn't a repeat thing. I've filed a police report but not sure if this kind of thing is covered by insurance?

Type in 15" wheel trims into Ebay. You'll get over 10,000 listings to browse through.

Deffo not worth an ins claim, in fact do NOT even tell them as it could/probably will increase your premium as the robbing lot regard it that an "incident" has occured to your insured vehicle

Is there such a thing?😀

As Stephen mentioned, loads on EBay etc. Tbh, when we had a Fiesta with those self same trims, because of past experience I took them off when we got it, stored them safely in the garage and put them back on when we traded the car in!

So I'm guessing the car is ok to drive without the trims for the most part?

It's fine to drive.  The trims are only to make the steel wheels look slightly less ugly.

I also agree with the others, do not mention this to the insurance.  They may well be covered under parts theft, but it's not worth the cost increase to the following years premiums.  Location premiums also increase if a lot of thefts occur in one post code, so again, best to keep that number low when it's only a minor theft.

Plenty!  I have to admire a thief who can actually steal something without causing damage to everything else.  I get really annoyed by the ones that scratch up the door trying to remove a lock barrel or scratch up wheels trying to remove locking nuts!!  I'd rather have the whole car stolen than find that!

Ah! You meant a competent thief. Yes, I always admire someone who's skilled at their job, but prefer that to be something legitimate!😀
