Hi there,

Got home tonight and when I pulled up I noticed a nice big vertical crack at the bottom of the windscreen about 8 inches long. Not been hit by any stones etc so must be pot hole damage as there is plenty in West Yorks and cannot avoid.

   Anyways just booked for replacement online and they say it will need recalibration after replacement. It's a 2023 MHEV stline so obviously a lot going on in there with the various tech. Has anyone any experience of having a screen replaced and know how long the calibration takes and was everything OK after?

Thanks for any info.

BTW, if not insured the price for the screen was £834 gulp.

    Used to take half an hour to change a windscreen then it would need to sit for same amount of time before you could drive safely. With the calibrations it could take a few hours now

    Cheers, yes apparently after fitting they have to drive the car to make sure everything is as it should be.

    I like modern cars but you couldn't beat the simplicity of older cars.

    I remember when electric windows, power steering and remote central locking was the bees knees. They really added value to the driving experience.

    Driving a car is easier now as less skill is involved as the car does so much to correct any mistakes.
