1.0 ecoboost bogging down at idle

Featured Replies

Car is from a family member so I don't know for how long it's been like this.

I turned on the car and after some time, I was looking at the engine it was shaking quite a lot, the engine mount is visibly shaking back and forth I've heard it's normal for 3 cylinder engines but I'm not sure of it's supposed to shake that much.

Anyway, after the engine is warmer it started to bog down for a second every few seconds, the rpm drops and comes back up.

I plugged my scanner and the fuel trims are pretty bad but there's no codes. Also noticed the battery voltage is low like the alternator is not working, only when I turned on the headlights and AC then it went up to 13.6v still a bit low at least for what I'm used to see on my cars.

The battery was changed a few months ago and the BMS was reset.

Could this be related to the battery change for some odd reason?

I noticed that when the engine is going to bog down the ticking from the injectors builds up in loudness before the rpm drops.

Any suggestions?
