Captive nut/block

Featured Replies

Hi all! I cut open my car to repair a damaged nut/block for the subframe, long story short the bolt is completely stuck and I'm wondering if it'll be easier to just get a new part if its even possible! If anyone happens to know what this is or even better has a part number I'd be eternally grateful!

So thats the plan as it stands yes however that metal tag thats bent round is supposed to stop the whole block from spinning, the block is free floating im assuming to allow the subframe to be positioned correctly with the other bolt holes. So far my plan is to cut the top off this metal and weld a new nut to it but it I can simply replace it then id do that instead and save a little hassle
