Boot stuck closed

Hey all,

Annoyingly I have closed the boot and now it won't open. I have put the seats down and can see that I have inadvertently closed the boot and a bag handle has got stuck in the locking part.

The dash is telling me it is open but it is stuck closed.

Is there a way to manually open the door from the inside? I have tried pulling at the bag handle but it will not budge - it is made of a nylon type material so very strong.

Any help much appreciated

    Get a couple of strong friends:

    You keep pressing the boot release button (on the boot)

    While one or two people pull very hard on the tailgate, it will open

    My daughter does it at least once a week

    Spot on mate sorted in 30 seconds.

    The wife kept pressing the button from the window whilst I lifted on the boot. Very pleased with herself she is.

    Been pushing down on the boot for the previous 30 mins 🤣
