Wetbelt failure

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2015 1.0T Eco boost, yesterday the oil light started flashing and it started to sound like an Ice Cream van (my kids description!)

Does anyone know of a specialist they can recommend in the Cheshire/Shropshire/North Wales area please?  Any help gratefully received.

A 2015 model is likely to still be covered by the new Ford goodwill scheme.  If you've got full service history, contact Ford asap.

It might be stretching a point. A 2015 model should have had the wet belts changed by now.

The words are "up to 10 years old" not including vehicles that are 10 years old.

I guess it depends when first registered. Already too late if registered prior to 25/02/15 of course, but worth a try if later in the year.

We are of course assuming that the wet belts have not been changed already. They could have been, and a fault still occurred, or e.g. oil pump strainer not cleaned. Or oil pump belt not replaced.

(Still not clear about the position with oil pump belt - the Ford bulletin is silent on the matter, as lawyers say).
