engine swop

Featured Replies

hi all new to the cub and need a bit of advice on an engine swop

i have a2017 fiesta 1.0 ltr ecoboost which has slipped the belt and No 3 has smacked the valves

i have recently purchased a2013 c max which is accident damaged  ( branch came off in the wind and dented roof and broke windscreen )

i am going to change the belts as i dont know the service history of the c max

i need some advice on any mods i will have to do ( i know i will have to change the flywheel and clutch )

but do i have to change any casings or mountings as wouldnt like to do the belts and build it back up and find out the timing cover and mounts don't fit

is it just a straight swop all advice is welcome

Turn the donor engine back into a base engine and fit every bolt on part and harness from your Fiesta

As long as the power outputs match (100PS or 125PS) you will be fine
