Fitting Bluetooth/Sync radio to Fiesta Zetec

Featured Replies

2nd post regarding my car. 1st was about powerfold mirrors, this is about fitting a OEM Bluetooth radio.

I'm aware you need the Bluetooth module and associated wiring harness for the Bluetooth to work at the minimum, and then the mic for Sync voice commands and to make calls.

I've found a wiring harness for the Bluetooth module for the Fiesta MK7 facelift, and a mic harness.

As far as I know, for the Bluetooth harness, one plug connects to the back of the head unit, the chunkier cable and the mini usb cable connects direct to the Bluetooth module and the female usb connector goes to the aux/usb port in between handbrake and gear stick, and there also looks to be a female connector which links the mic harness. What I am not sure about is the grey plug pictured that is near the cable that goes to back of headunit. Would this connect to a pre-existing connector already in the car, that perhaps goes to one of the computers to integrate Sync/Bluetooth with the rest of the car (vehicle settings, emergency assist etc)

2nd of all, is a red connector on the mic harness which tied to the 2 pin connector which goes to the actual mic it self

Again, any idea of what this could be? Something to do with the interior light, or interconnects to another wiring harness that may or may not already be present in my car given the lack of a Bluetooth headunit?

If no one knows then my next best option would be to look at a facelift Fiesta at the local scrap yard, and remove the radio and the Bluetooth system to find out where these connectors go to.

Should I get this all installed, then I am assuming I would need to activate it in Forscan?
