Hi all,

Interested in learning more about my '16 Ford Fiesta.

What is this tube (highlighted) that is mounted to the car that rests just above the battery and snakes down past the gear change cables?

Thanks in advance.

After a bit of tracing I believe it is a component of the brakes. It leaves the brake booster component.

Anyone know where exactly the tube connects to when it disappears downwards, beside the engine block.

Cheers

It connects to the bottom of the plastic intake manifold.  As you have a non-turbo petrol engine, there will always be vacuum in the intake manifold.

On turbo engines, they have a vacuum pump attached to the engine to create the vacuum for the brake servo.
