A clutch m/c change altered pedal engagement

2007 Fiesta. I changed the clutch 3 years ago and have good pedal 'bite point' right at the top. Then I changed the m/c 6 months ago and the bite point changed to about half way. Now its kind of hard to get it into gears and crunches in reverse. Any reason the bite point changed like this? I feel the difficulty getting it into gear is the clutch not disengaging properly. I'v done vacuum bleeding to no avail. Any ideas?
