Hi, is a 2012 (2013reg) fiesta 1.2 petrol with key start supposed to start with clutch in before it starts.

mine starts with or without the clutch being in.

the switch closest to the front of the car is not stuck and moves in and out.

are these switches fitted to all fiestas when made and depending on the spec activated or deactivated in the factory.

do i need a new switch or is it there but deactivated

    I had one where the Spring had broken internally and was still returning the Plunger ok but the broken Spring was bridging the Contacts at the wrong time and confusing everything.

    You need to check the continuity to determine if the switch is faulty.
