Parts cannon time?

Featured Replies

2010 fiesta zetec s 1.6 tdci with tzja 8v 93hp.

Problem: Engine vibration since installing new wheels. Felt while in neutral at around 3k rpm. Felt in gears 1 to 4 at same rpm. Felt in 5th at around 2.5k rpm between 65 and 75 mph. More aggressive under load.

Additional information : All 3 mounts changed, revive intake cleaner, cataclean, direct liqui molly diesel purge, liqui molly extreme diesel clean in tank at the moment. JLM egr and intake cleaner applied after intercooler through the throttle body. Intercooler flushed. Leak off test performed. Timing belt and water pump done. No pulley or bearing noises. No leaks in intake or cam/rocker cover. Went partially after cleaning the throttle body but has returned to original status.

Results : No change in vibration. Can be felt in the steering wheel and all 3 pedals. Mainly in the brake pedal at 65 to 70. Air con on or off makes no difference sept fluctuation between 800 and 900 rpm and pump cuts in and out at idle.

Had it checked by a mechanic and they said drivers side hydro mount. This despite the problem being before mount change, no difference after a mount change and mount has been off for the timing belt. Wouldn't say what they checked other than feeling what I did.

So, no leaks in intake, leak off test showed fairly level results, no odd sounds, air con pump and alternator fine. No codes. No flywheel or clutch problems.

Apart from getting another new mount and seeing if that makes a difference, what is a man to do? I suspect the only thing left might be the EGR cooler being partially clogged

Will swap the mount back to the original to see if it does anything but the problem was there before hand and only started after new wheels, but why would that cause a vibration at stand still in neutral?

Any help?

Had very similar..turned out to be an injector..tried so many things as you have..mine is a 2009 and started at 180.000 miles..after changing it drove like a new car (apart from the other rattles I have)
