P2599 Fault Code - Advice

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a 2015 1.5TDCI (Euro 6) 75BHP Fiesta which has the fault code P2599 (Turbocharger Boost Control Position at Upper Limit).

The car goes into limp mode after driving it for only 30 seconds or so, with the spanner light and ‘Engine Service Now’ and ‘Hill Start Assist Unavailable’ showing on the screen. If I turn the car off and back on again, the fault clears but then comes back on after driving.

I’ve tried the following:

- Replacing the vacuum solenoid.

- Checking the vacuum pipes for leaks/cracks.

- Blanked the vacuum to the EGR as seen on another thread in this forum.

The turbo actuator rod moves when I start the car and then moves back when I turn the car off. I’ve also checked the connections to the actuator and solenoid and they seem fine.

Theres a few threads in this forum that seem to have very similar issues but I’m struggling to fix the issue. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
