2021 Ford Transit Connect Rear Parking Sensors not working

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2021 Transit Connect Trend van. It has parking sensors on the rear but they do not work. There is no button on the inside to enable/ disable them and there is no option in the drivers display to enable/ disable them. Does this mean that they are not factory fitted or is there an option I'm missing to get them working? Anything else I need to check for?

Thanks in advance!

Or has the rear bumper been replaced with a one that has sensors fitted ?

The Trend is an entry level trim and factory fitted rear parking sensors would be unlikely. Post a photo of the bumper and the sensors so we can see if these are the factory type.

You can use FORScan and scan the vehicle to see if it has a PAM fitted, and if it has you'll be able to tell what the issue is.

Just fixing @unofix's typo

It's PAM not PCM, if there's no PAM on the tree the van has no park aid or they're dealer fit ones  that don't work

Hi,

apologies for the delayed reply. I've uploaded pictures of the sensors. They dont look aftermarket but not sure.

Thanks!

They do look like the real deal 👍

So next you need to use FORScan and see if the PAM is fitted (and working).

PAM should be easy to see in the back of a van, is there any panelling in the back of this one?  I think it'll be on the right hand side.
