Featured Replies

Hi guys I have a 2015/161.0l Ecoboost and recently the engine lights come one and has been popping in and out of “Limp Mode”

I have a Carly OBD Scanner and have read the codes just hoping someone knows what they all mean and if I can fix it on my own.

will post the pictures of codes, Thanks in advance.

You can, but I use it on my Android phone with a bluetooth OBD adapter as it is a lot more convenient.

Hi sorry it took so long have finally got a scanner for FORScan, in the last month it has gotten worse! Starting Monday 12th May it’s been in a permanent limp mode. These are the codes I’m getting. I was also getting a MAF error but since investigating I noticed a loose connector under the battery and since I re connected that the MAF error has gone but still in Limp Mode. Any Help Greatly Appreciated.

Looks like the neutral position sensor connector is also loose.  That is on the gearbox roughly under the battery as well.

Is that definitely Forscan?  Have they changed the UI recently?

Assuming that your car is a Manual Gearbox one, the Neutral Position Sensor will be on the Gearbox near where the Cables that shift the Gears connect to the Gearbox.

Most likely to be a faulty Switch or Wiring or misalignment.

It's a screen shot of the phone version of FORScan.

It is a manual yeah would my car have to be on a ramp for me to access them?

Need to slide a very thin tool in to release tiny tabs on the pins.  There are specific pin removal tools for this purpose.
