Squeaking noise front end

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a Mk7 Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost 2014. After changing the rear bushes, springs and shockers, I decided to do some work on the front as I have a noticeable squeak when going over bumps or speed humps.

I changed the Wishbones, track rod ends and droplinks. I was also planning on changing the struts and springs. I went for a road test and noticed that there was no more squeaking and the ride was smooth.

I went to work this morning (3 days later) and when driving over the speed humps in my works car park, the squeaking noise has returned.

I checked the anti roll bar bushes and they seemed fine.

I can't think why this has happened. The only thing that I can think of is that I lubricated the wishbone for easy fitment. Is it possible that one of the points of contacts on the wishbone may be chaffing and now that the lubricant is dry, the squeak has returned?.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
