retrofit a shark fin antenna (small problem I'm facing)

Featured Replies

so to start off I did away with the aerial antenna on my Fiesta mk8 (my2017) and installed a shark fin antenna from a 2019 Puma.

everything works great except the DAB radio, it keeps giving me a DTC saying the circuit is shorted or open.

the old aerial antenna has a gray and a black cable (1 fakra connector) and the new shark fin has 2 black cables (1 fakra connector), ChatGPT tells me that gray was the old DAB color code for Ford and tells me that Ford now used blue for their DAB but I don't really trust it.

now I found another shark fin from a Focus mk4 2022-2024 that has a black and a blue connector, will this antenna work? I'm lost here tbh cause I made the mistake to buy another puma shark fin cause I thought the shark fin defect internally or something.
