2002 Fiesta MK4/5 Light Accelerator Pedal

I just got a 2002 fiesta love the look of the car and it feels mostly fine when driving but the accelerator is complete ***** it feels like its rubbing and it also feels really light, i looked and theyre just straight pieces of plastic does anyone know of aftermarket metal accelerators pedals? i did google but didnt find much

I'm not sure if Ford still stock them, but the Model 'T' used to have a metal accelerator. 😉

So did my Mk 1 Cortina - probably the same part number - but they all seem to be plastic these days, presumably because of the electronics where we used to have a cable or rods.

You can get "sports" metal pedal covers of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of those are "metal look" plastic too.

2002 model is using a cable its just a cheap car i think the entire pedal is only held in place with 1 screw it just doesnt feel nice lol

lol my mx5 had one i assume a lot of cars used them at the time if they werent budget
