Boot (tailgate) handle on 19 plate Fiesta Active X

The boot handle on my 19 plate Fiesta Active X has suddenly stopped working. If I press the button on the remote, twice tho, then it opens every time. From my limited knowledge this makes me think it is the actual handle/switch itself that has stopped working as opposed to the latch, actuator or Body Control Module. I'm having trouble finding a replacement part online and/or any info about how to replace it. Can anybody help with either of those please? It looks like the handle also incorporates the camera (which is working fine) or at least lens cover for it.

    The handle is only available with the camera.  If either part breaks, the whole thing needs to be replaced.  It's not 'that' expensive from Ford, considering it includes the camera.  There will be loads of them at breakers yards by now, as they're the same on Mk8 Fiesta, Mk4 Focus, etc.  Current part number 2445415.

    It can be removed easily from outside by slipping a thin tool or old credit card in around the edges to press the metal release tabs.  As there's no picture for the genuine Ford part, I'll link a cheap Chinese one just for photo purposes.  Not sure I'd risk buying one in case it turns out to be utter rubbish.

    Just so I'm clear, it just pops out, no need to remove any trim and screws etc? I had nightmare visions of having to take the tailgate all apart!

    Yes, if you do it correctly there's no need to remove anything.

    If you do it wrong and end up damaging it then you probably will need to remove the interior trim so you can push it from behind.
