False activation of collision avoidance system

Something strange happened yesterday.

I was driving along in the motorway. Nice and clear day. I had my adaptive cruise control activated and it was following a motorbike in front of me which was the only other traffic at that time. I had the maximum distance setting selected.

3-4 times the car mildly decelerated compared to him for no reason and then caught up and then suddenly the red warning message appeared on the screen and the car breaked to avoid collision without any change in the speed of the motorbike.

After that, the car behaved normal for the rest of the trip. Also made another long trip today and everything was good.

What could that have been?

    If the sun is blinding the camera that can cause issues sometimes, or a dead fly etc

    Other than that, if it keeps doing it get the software checked for an update or the calibration of the system checked

    I believe it is fine, as it was misbehaving in a window of let's say 10 minutes. And, since then. I drove the car a lot.

    I was just alarmed because it has never malfunctioned before.

    Dead insects is a plausible theory. I was driving next to a swamp at that time and there were lots of insects.
