Heard mixed opinions on this but Can I get Bluetooth audio on here? Can have Bluetooth calls but that’s all I’ve been able to do, any info would be appreciated

Bluetooth on that model only supported phone calls, it will not work for streaming music.

Do you know if I get a more up to date model if it’s a straight swap? Like this one

It should be a straight swap, but you can never be 100% certain until you try.

Since Bluetooth is controlled by a separate module instead of the audio system, changing the radio does not bring much. You will not get Bluetooth Audio by changing the audio system. Apart from that the wiring will also be different.

On the Fiesta MK7 Ford offered 2 different Bluetooth systems:

1. The standard 2nd generation Bluetooth/Voicecontrol system that only supports Bluetooth phone functionality.

2. The Sound & Connect system that is based on the 2nd generation Bluetooth/Voicecontrol but also supports USB, A2DP (Bluetooth Audio) and Ipod control.

The Sound & Connect system can easily be retrofitted by changing the current 8M5T-19G488-xx Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module to a 8M5T-19C112-xx module. After the Central Car Configuration is configured correctly the A2DP functionality will be available. If you also want USB functionality you also have to install the USB wiring and socket.

Providing you have an aux socket the easiest way to add Bluetooth audio is with an adaptor. Costs roughly from £15. Best upgrade for me for sound, aswell as the Focal speaker upgrade kits.
