Cylinder Performance Graph Analysis / LINK TO VIDEO

Featured Replies

Hello,

I’m still investigating a potential misfiring issue. Now that I’ve become more familiar with the FORScan tool, I’ve taken a short recording of the cylinder performance data.

From what I’ve read and observed on the graph, it appears that there may be significant misfiring occurring across all cylinders. However, I’d appreciate a second opinion to confirm whether this interpretation is correct or if there might be another explanation.

No fault codes.

Please let me know what you think based on the attached graph/data.

Thanks, Ian

The equivalent graph for my perfect 1.5 3 Cylinder Engine looks more or less the same and I say my Engine is perfect because I just passed my MOT with zero emissions form the Tailpipe.

If you want to check for Misfires then check Mode 6 Test Results, FORScan should have that for your car.

Hello Tizer,

I’ve previously checked Mode 6 data and noticed that there may occasionally be 1 count showing on a cylinder. The highest count I’ve observed was 6 on one cylinder, but this isn’t consistent and most of the time it reads 0 across all cylinders.

1 or even 6 counts in several thousand or hundred of thousand is nothing to be concerned about.
