Fiesta mk8.5 obd fuse removal

Featured Replies

I’ve seen posts about removing the obd fuse on fiestas to help prevent / delay theft of the car, thought I would give it a go, removed fuse (fuse 10, 10amp from the passenger fuse box) obd still works, thought I would try another fuse removal, so removed fuse 4 for the push button ignition switch, switch still worked, can someone please explain why?

thanks

The 12 Volt supply to the OBD port does not have it's own fuse.

What does the fuse do then?
