FiestaST3 electrical fault

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2014 Fiesta ST3. I keep having an issue where the car tells me the bonnet is open whilst driving, this often then sets my car alarm off when locked. I have tried replacing the battery and cleaning/checking the plugs going into the bonnet latch. Does anyone have any recommendations to what could be causing the issue? Thanks

Yes it's a very simple fix. Replace the bonnet latch assembly that has the alarm switch.

You need the exact same part number. Lots to be found on eBay for around £25

I'll give this a go, thanks very much:)

If memory serves, a new one from Ford is around £70-80.

You could try a good spray with WD and clean connector plug.
