Aftermarket parts

Featured Replies

Hello, i’m looking at getting into either a fiesta zetec s or fiesta metal. from my research the metal is just an upgraded sportier version of the zetec s and are almost identical. does anyone know if aftermarket parts like induction kits/exhausts are cross compatible as i cant find a real market for metal parts but i can for zetec s

thank you

The Metal was more powerful, had an extra 15 bhp over the Zetec S, so some engine upgrades are already fitted to those.

The Metal had various extras over the ZS, including 17" alloys and leather seats, and some cosmetic bits like piano black interior plastic.

Iirc it was rumoured at the time that in effect it had the Mountune MP140 conversion* (which was available on the ZS without invalidating Ford warranty) with a slightly quieter exhaust.

I think there's a thread on here somewhere where a Metal owner couldn't source an OEM exhaust and was having to look at an aftermarket one.

The now pretty rare S1600 also had the same mechanical mods as the Metal. In effect with those Ford and/or Mountune had got the "easy wins" tuning wise*. Anything more would be costly.

*I think basically it amounted to remap, and filter and exhaust mods.
