Fiesta 1.4 Ghia 2006 Drivers right hand door lock

Featured Replies

Hi! My drivers door won't lock consistently, when you turn the key it seems to do a double bounce? when it does lock it's only one click! but it can take anything upto 15/20 minuts until it locks. is it a problem with the central locking ?? could anyone help please!

Try lubricating the latch, it may come back to life.

Failing that you need to strip the door down and lubricate/free the mechanisms inside the door

Thanks Dave T70 for replying. I have sprayed lots of WD40 in the lock and sometimes it helps to lock the door. But I just wonder about the double clunk when it won't lock! but only one clunk when it does? also I understand there's a lot of special screws to taking the side panel off which I don't have.

That's the only way you're going to see what's going on I'm afraid
