Loss of boost pressure

Featured Replies

My 2015 fiesta 1l has had this issue for around a month. It seems to loose all boost after accelerating/pushing the car even slightly. There are no warning lights and got it diagnostic tested at a garage and no fault codes found. It is due a wet belt as it is at 70000 miles which is being done soon as possible which im wondering may have contributed to this issue. The fault goes completely when ignition is turned of then back on again but once again comes back later on. I assume it is something to do with the waste gate staying open or the vacume solenoid not working properly as there is no blow off noise whatsoever and it loses lots of power especialy higher in the rev range. If anyone has heard of this type of issue please let me know as i would preffer not to go through the hassle of taking the turbo off to have a look at what may be the issue if it may be related to the vacume being produced instead.

Unless it was a Ford garage, or a garage using FORScan (which is unlikely) then it is of little surprise that they did not find any DTC's.

You need to use FORScan to read the Ford specific DTC's.

It's what many Ford owners use including some Ford technicians.

For diagnostic use only:
