So I’m looking to by these headlights for my 2009 mk7 fiesta pfl but it says not suitable for cars with xenon headlights? Does that mean I can’t use xenon headlight bulbs with these? Or is that just something they have to say for legal reasons ? Also can I just plug in xenon bulbs into my standard hologan fittings

How come? Fittings different ?

A simple search online would explain the many reasons why you can't put xenon bulbs in a headlight designed for halogen bulbs:

  1. Different electric fittings
  2. Needs a special 'ballast' to supply power to the (xenon) bulbs, halogen lights do not have these
  3. Most halogen headlights are reflector, not projector, so even if you could someone make xenon bulbs work, the light output would illegal and annoy the ***** out of everyone else on the road
  4. Xenon headlights legally must have auto-leveling capability AND headlight washer jets

So the short answer is no, you can't. You CAN use halogen bulbs that give out a colder white light but this is still a halogen bulb.

How comes these fit correct then? No modifications? Nothing just a direct replacement in my projectors. I’ve took them off now as don’t want illegal lights. Also just to clarify I’m not trying to be cocky just trying to get some education.

It's generally called misleading advertising.

Looking at the picture they seem to be regular halogen lamps with a 'Blue Xenon' filter to make the light look like Xenon.

this is what a genuine Xenon lamp looks like, complete with the ballast unit attached:

Thank you, appreciate the help so will they be okay to use then?

8 bulbs for £16 gives a clue that these are not Xenon lamps, which would cost more like £80 each.

The seller's advert says:

Any yellow colour which is normally shown gets filtered down by the blue lens

So some of the light is being filtered out by the blue coating rather than shining on the road.

we do advise you replace your wiring loom prior to installing these 100w bulbs

Translates to the bulbs are higher wattage than recommended for the vehicle and may blow fuses if used for extended periods.

100w bulbs are for off road use only!

Means that these bulbs are not road legal.

Taken from an advert which seems to be for the same product here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384064668504

Yes, they are just regular halogen lamps with a blue filter.

Avoid using any that are 100W

It also suggests they won't last very long.
