MY2013.11 MK7 TDIC 1.5 - Wastegate Actuator Failure?

Featured Replies

Hello all, I'm hoping you can help save my wee Fiesta from the scrappers as I've poured a decent amount of money into this year but I'm not about to become victim of the Sunk Cost Fallacy.

As per the title, I have a MY2013.11 MK7 TDIC 1.5 and I think my wastegate actuator is failing, or a sensor has failed, or something is wrong.

I've been doing extensive research over the last few days and found this post, which is pretty much the exact problem I'm having same code, symptoms and all:

I have this FORScan dump: [file 'faults2.txt']

I captured some telemetry too: [image 'telemetry.jpg']

And a more recent FORScan dump: [file 'faults3.txt']

Is there any other information I can provide that might help us reach a solution to this problem? My mechanic is saying to just hit the accelerator hard and hopefully it'll unblock it, but if the telemetry says it's moving I'm not sure what the problem is (to be fair to my mechanic, I haven't had a chance to tell him about the telemetry yet as I was only able to figure it out today).

It's previous been with him as they thought it was a DPF problem (which again to be fair is what the codes were reading at that time, and he did a forced regen which helped for about a month).

Trying to save some money here, so an estimation on parts and labour, if you can even ballpark it, will help me decide if she'll live to see another day or if this is the end.

EDIT: 'faults3.txt' is from the same log time as the image attached, for reference
