Mk7 Fiesta ti-vct 1.6 high water temp in traffic

Featured Replies

The car's water temperature is constantly high in traffic jams. Often during city traffic as well. The outside temperature is currently 25 degrees, but after 20 minutes of city driving the water is almost 100 degrees.
I've already replaced the radiator and the coolant, but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem.
The fan only turns on at 105 degrees. I think this is normal.
IF the air conditioning is on and the front fan is spinning or the car is getting air, this problem doesn't occur.
Does anyone else have this high water temperature???

'Almost' 100 degrees is correct for the Ti-VCT engine.  They run hot for maximum efficiency.

Anti-freeze also increases the boiling point, so as long as you've got the correct ratio of that, the coolant won't boil at 105c when the fan comes on.
