Hi, 

I need to program a spare key with Forscan for my Fiesta 2004 Tdci (Mk5). Do you know what are compatible transponder chips?

I tried with chip found here KEYYOU 433MHZ 4D60 Chip Chiave A Distanza Dell'automobile Misura per Ford Fusion Focus Mondeo Fiesta Galaxy Automobile FO21 Lama Flip Chiave Auto - AliExpress 34

but it's not recognized by ECU ....

    In the UK the 2004 Fiesta is a Mk6

    4D63 is the chip I've already bought (you can see it here  KEYYOU 433MHZ 4D60 Chip Chiave A Distanza Dell'automobile Misura per Ford Fusion Focus Mondeo Fiesta Galaxy Automobile FO21 Lama Flip Chiave Auto - AliExpress 34), but it's not recognized by ECU .... 

    Probably the right one for my Fiesta is that with a cylindrical shape ... Do you know its exact name?

    You never actually said which chip you bought and the link takes you to the 4D60 by default

    I've already tried with 4D63 ... My Fiesta is MK5 for sure, although its year is 2004, but I'm in Italy 🙂 

    Any idea about what chip could be the right one?

    There are only 2 possible transponder chips for the Fiesta of that age.

    • 4D63
    • 4D60

    So the problem is either your programming method is wrong. Or the transponder chip is faulty / fake.

    Programming method I've been using is by means of ForScan, following public how-to (How to program PATS using FORScan v2.3.* - FORScan forum)

    Transponder I bought on AliExpress is obviously chinese and I can't exclude that these chips are not good ...

    Probably the best thing I could do is trying with a 4D60 chip (there are both 40bit and 80bit, I hope that a 80 bit is recognized by ECU); at the same time it would be better that I buy a non chinese chip ... Do you know some ecommerce portal where I can buy them? ...
