Strange Noise

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just bought a 2019 Fiesta 1.0l Ecoboost ST-Line with power stop/start.  This is my first experience with this after having driven a 2007 Fiesta Climate from new, so still getting used to the various new "toys".

Anyway the thing is, after having driven, when i press the power button to switch the engine off, I immediately get a strange noise, almost like the sound of air being released from a balloon, slightly vulgar 'phrap' if you know what I mean 🤪

Realise the description is rather odd, but so is the noise!

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Check for a whoopee cushion behind the start button. :whistling:

Seriously though, it's probably the climate control flap closing the air intake to prevent the interior getting damp overnight.

Thanks Tom - the whoopee cushion comment is not too far off the mark!  😄

Seriously though, thanks for your comment, that makes sense, (also 1st time with working air conditioning, thank goodness)
