Mk7 Fiesta ti-vct 1.6 Loose,weak steering wheel

Featured Replies

I constantly experience that my steering is loose , weak and not stiff, the car is slippery, especially when the road is potholed or when I accelerating with the car. We have already replaced the shock absorbers and springs on both sides along with the struts, now we have replaced the control arm on both sides. They put in new steering cardan shaft for test in but that did not solve the problem either. 😞

The Ford mechanics said that the steering rack is very rarely replaced in the Fiestas!!! But I doubt this. I constantly feel that I have to keep the car under control and something is loose. There is no dtc fault code, could this be the steering rack or rather the power steering? Its a zetec s 1.6 ti-vct
