Wing mirror tilt

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2013 Ford Fiesta 1.5 Diesel. Just wondering how easy it is to replacement the tilt mechanism on its own for the passenger wing mirror, I've been trying to look for videos however cannot find any. Do it require have to take the full door panel and wing mirror off?

You're not explaining what you want very well.

Door mirrors mount on doors

Wing mirrors mount on wings (in the 70's)🤪

To replace the whole door mirror assembly, you will need to remove the door casing and inner panel to get to the fixings.

To replace the mirror glass movement mechanism (motor) you will need to remove the glass, then you will find there is one fixing in the centre of the motor.

Remove that and remove the motor

Perfect description! A while back, the motor failed in my passenger door mirror. Bought a donor mirror off Ebay and watched my guy do exactly as described, I think it took him less than 10 minutes start to finish, still working now after 3 years...

EDIT

Just remembered it wasn't all smooth, on replacing the glass, the darn thing cracked, however, the donor mirror came with a pristine replacement LOL
