2008 Fiesta 1.6 tdci 85K 5 door. LHD. I found the steering reservoir in front of the battery on the passenger side and quite low down not very handy at all. 

It is a bit scruffy due to its position. The oil level is down below an inner ledge. Should level be up to the top ? Advice needed ta. 

Difficult to find info as most reservoirs seem to be placed higher up near coolant and brake reservoirs and on the left.

 

 

 

1.6 TDCI used electro-hydraulic PAS, like the Focus.

The reservoir is slightly different though.  It does have still have a MAX mark written on it.  Can just about see it on this picture of a used one.  Only just above the long 'arm', nowhere near the top of the bottle.

Thanks tom the photo is helpful. No fluid in sight, so I bought some from Halfords Yesterday. I'll try giving things a wash or at worse put some in with funnel and pipe leaving level down not near top of bottle as suggested and check things after a few trips. Annual milage is 2500 so it is mostly retired. like owner.  

I change eng oil and filters every 2 years just under 5K . Twin cam goes like a watch, EGR blanking plate fitted years ago. It has just had new calipers. Cheap to run.
