1.6 TDCi Oil Contaminated Light

Featured Replies

Recently the Yellow “oil contaminated by diesel” light came on dash along with the “oil service due” warning.

Not entirely surprised as i suspect ive had leaky injector for some time.

So today i did an oil service thinking both lights would go out. Nope.

Checked Forscan. All good so far as i can see.

What am i missing?

What does that light look like ?

Disregard. I was referring to the yellow oil light with wavy line underneath. Someone incorrectly told me that this signified diesel contaminating the engine oil. However i learned that commonly its connected to DPF.

So through Forscan i carried out a static DPF regen. Cleared everything and the light AND oil service warning has gone and not come back on..
