Issues with RPM and clutch

Featured Replies

Hello all, I have been having signficant issues with my Fiesta 1.3 JH1: A9JA1/5BDBKC and the RPM and clutch.

When I start the car I have to push down the accelerator to give it some RPM otherwise it will not turn over, and if I take my foot off the accelerator then the RPM falls and the car stalls. I then have the issue when driving around that when I want to come to a stop I'll put the clutch down and the engine will stall and Ill have to turn it off and restart it. However this problem comes and goes, sometimes it revs high and stays high (around 1500RPM).

I have replaced the air intake filter and made sure the air intake pump is sealed. I thought this may be an issue with an IAC valve, but from all my research I cannot find where it would be located on this model or if it even has one.

If anyone has some advice that would be great!

Cheers,

Alex
