These things are for emergencies only of course, but the Ford factory optional extra spacesaver (except ST) was 14" with 175/65R14 tyre. (ST 15" (to clear the front calipers) with 125/80R15 tyre.)

There are usually plenty of 14s on Ebay, etc, often complete with foam boot insert and tools.

Most of the aftermarket options - Road Hero etc - are 15" though.

If you don't know this........

Fit it to the back ONLY, This means if you get a front wheel puncture you'll have to take a rear wheel off and put it on the front, then the space saver goes on the back, not a lot know this, me neither come to think of it :pokey: something to do with steering.

My son has a 16 inch ford space saver in his ST, like the one in the image, these are better suited for bigger wheels.

16 inch ford space saver in his ST,

Originally for the Ford Focus ST170 MK1

I'd not recommend there use on a standard Fiesta due to large offset (or is it 'inset' ?) which could cause the tyre to touch the inner wheel arch.

Would be ok on my sons Fiesta ST though ? I've no idea myself and come to think of it neither does my son, the wheel is what is in the boot when he got the car.

I don't know to be honest. Probably a good idea to try fitting now when you don't need it and see what it's like.

Had a chat with my Son over the wheel and he said many of the first gen' ST's came with the alloy space saver, whilst some came with the inflater & sealant, he's never had to use it yet so no idea if there are issues.
