2017 Edge DRL issue

Featured Replies

Hi all,

my brother was driving in front of me and he said my left side DRL went out then came back on and then the right side went out

but it didnt do it all the time i scanned it with a thinkdiag obd tool and got B124A and B124B

i have a 2017 ford edge titanium with the non-LED head lights if anyone could help is it just a bulb change ( i think its a H15 or something ) or  could it be something else

kind regards michael

Check it's not just the normal light going off when you use indicators.    That's what most car do now.

That is normal. It is a legal requirement that the DRL either goes out completely or dims to less than half brightness when the indicator on that side is on.

Glad to know you've being paying attention to all the other cars on the road that do this 🤣

I changed the drl incandescent bulbs to these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155468932178

Have a look at my thread: https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/157537-looking-at-the-awful-currentvoltage-limiting-halogen-drl/#comment-1084876

These bulbs are still working great, transforms the car. There are other threads discussing the DRL's, worth a look. Don't go for cheap ones, they're not worth the trouble.
