When I did my 70+ licence renewal, friends advised me to check very carefully to ensure I still had all the categories to which I was entitled, as the odd person had lost their motorcycle entitlement and had difficulty getting it put back on. Mine was ok, fortunately.

My Mrs has just renewed hers, and we were puzzled to see she had Category A on the front of the licence, as she has never even ridden a bike, let alone taken a test.

On the reverse however, Category A is accompanied by Note 79(3) which means Tricycles only. So if I understand correctly, she's not licensed for a Motorcycle or Quad bike, but could in theory drive a massive Harley trike!😀
