I just had my car into Ford and have said my catalytic converter is blowing they have have quoted me £1000. Is this reasonable

    Yes for a brand new genuine cat.

    But if it's just the flex part blowing then you can buy those cheaply on ebay and install them yourself.

    Anywhere from under £1000 at an independent to double that at a Ford dealer.
