Diesel engine treatment

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The Edge is my first diesel.

Does anyone use the diesel engine treatment.

I have ordered the STP ultra 5 in 1.

It is suppose to clean various parts of the engine and give a better performing engine.

I feel the car is not a fast as when i first purchased the car and felt this may help as i mainly do short runs

Just wanted to ask opinions before i use it.

Many thanks

A much debated topic, a recent thread here:

Some time since I last had a diesel, the go-to additive back then seemed to be Millers (which is still available) but Archoil seems very popular nowadays.

Short runs and diesel are not usually happy bedfellows, though.

+1 for Archoil ... you pays yer money and see if it feels any different for you?
It's premium fuel at half the differential IMHO but it's the detergent and lubrication for long term pump protection that is another (hopeful) benefit.
It seems to run a lot smoother, but that's just me.
